The Saturdays singer Una Foden and her husband Ben Foden have been announced as 2016 Presidents for Sparks, a charity that raises money to fund children's medical research.

The couple start their roles in January and will be in the position for one year, joining a list of previous Sparks Presidents including presenter Gabby Logan who also took on the role alongside her husband Kenny in 2008. Una Foden commented 'I'm delighted to be joint President for such a fantastic national charity. Ben and I have come to understand how underfunded children's medical research is. So as parents ourselves, supporting Sparks, who fund research into such a vast range of conditions, will be a really rewarding cause for us to support'.
